Cookie Policy
Effective Date: April 3, 2026 · Last Updated: May 7, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Vurium Inc. ("Vurium," "we," "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and platform. This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the website remember your preferences and recognize you on return visits. Cookies can be "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (remain until they expire or you delete them).
2. Cookies We Use
We use a small set of cookies: ones strictly necessary to keep you signed in, and ones used to measure how our marketing reaches new visitors.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| VURIUMBOOK_TOKEN | Authentication — keeps you signed in to your account | Strictly Necessary | 7 days |
| _fbp | Meta Pixel — measures the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram | Advertising | 90 days |
| _fbc | Meta Pixel — records the click that brought you from a Meta ad to our site | Advertising | 90 days |
The authentication cookie is essential for the Service to function and cannot be disabled. It is set with the Secure and SameSite=Lax flags for security. The Meta advertising cookies are set as first-party cookies on the vurium.com domain and can be blocked through your browser settings or extensions like uBlock Origin without affecting Service functionality.
3. Third-Party Cookies and Pixels
We use the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook, Instagram) to measure visits originating from our advertising campaigns and to optimize those campaigns. The Pixel sets first-party cookies (_fbp, _fbc) on the vurium.com domain and sends pseudonymised event data (such as page views and lead form submissions) to Meta. Meta's use of this data is governed by the Meta Privacy Policy. Our payment processor (Stripe) may also set its own cookies during the payment process — these are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
4. Managing Cookies
You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View what cookies are set on your device.
- Delete individual or all cookies.
- Block cookies from specific or all websites.
- Set preferences for first-party vs. third-party cookies.
Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from using certain features of the Service (e.g., staying signed in).
5. "Do Not Track" and Opt-Out
We do not currently respond to browser Do Not Track (DNT) signals; there is no industry-standard interpretation of DNT and most browsers send the signal by default. If you do not want Meta to receive event data from your visits to vurium.com, you can: (a) install a content blocker that blocks Meta's domain (most major blockers do this by default), (b) opt out of personalised advertising in your Meta Ad Preferences, or (c) clear the _fbp and _fbc cookies in your browser settings.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
